Building on a Strong Foundation
Bean Hall is at the heart and soul of West Fairlee’s historic village, and its revitalization is already underway. The creation of a National Historic District has recognized the importance of Bean Hall and the surrounding village as a place of shared history and community identity.
Through BRELLA funding, critical environmental testing has been completed, identifying hazardous materials and preparing the building and site for its next chapter. Most importantly, funding to restore the roof restructure the third floor has been obtained, protecting this historic landmark from further deterioration and creating a stable foundation for future improvements.
Now, we have an opportunity to build on this momentum to help transform Bean Hall into a vibrant, accessible community resource for generations to come—supporting local events, gathering, education, food access, and community life.
